There is a black switch on the back of the trunk light.

1. Press the switch once to enter manual mode: tap the center of the light to turn it on or off manually.

2. Press the switch again to switch to auto mode: the light will automatically shut off when the trunk is closed; you can also turn it off by tapping manually.

3. Press and hold the back switch for 3 seconds to activate strobe mode; hold it for another 3 seconds to switch to steady-on mode.
